the group dynamics reinforces the activities employed to overcome stress. I believe anything done in a group can have a sort of contagion effect making the goal of the activity more realizable and the process more efficient.

You are right. Group activities help focus on the goal that the group wants to achieve.

Great advice! I’d skip the group tour because after nearly 20 years in the travel industry I’ve developed a preference for solo travel. However, I am a big believer in “Ladies Night Out” as a stress reliever – but it has to be with the right ladies. I feel blessed to have been friends with a group of ladies for many many years and the magic is we can go without seeing each other for 6 months or more and yet when we do get together it’s like we last saw each other yesterday!

“Ladies Night Out” works for me too – very good idea. Thanks.

Hey Edyta, cool tips. Me personally while I can mix and mingle, the inner introvert is rarely at home “enough” in groups for those to be stress relieving activities for me. I’m a one-on-one kinda gal even though I can enjoy most larger environments it’s just now how I best relax. I know there are people however that are outright extrovert and the things that I find relaxing would drive them mad LOL!

Hi Kimberly,
Thanks for your comment.
We are all different as individuals. Everyone has his own way to relax from the stress.
I was thinking that if you are planning to have a group stress relief, it is also important to choose the members of the group. I know that a group stress relief is effective, but my point is it will not be effective as it is if there is someone in the group that may cause you to feel stressed. Although this does not usually happens, it is possible.

Hi Michelle,
Thanks for sharing it with us.
You are right, it might sometimes happen. It has never happend to me. I’ve never found in my group someone who caused me to feel stressed.
I think taking a mini break with a group of friends is a great way to relieve stress. And of course nights out with the gals. I love to play cards but haven’t done so in years cause i can’t seem to find people that enjoy it as much as me. But when i did play, i found it such a great way to leave all my stress behind.
