How Herbal Stress Relief Works: Physiological Bases
Usually, the herbal stress relief medications come in the form of a warm or a cold drink. They are processed this way so they can easily be taken in and absorbed by the body. Theanine is the primary substance of these infusions. Theanine is a type of amino acid that can react with the neurotransmitters of your brain. They tend to lower the level of cortisol stored in your body. Cortisol is the main culprit that makes you feel stressed.
When you take in the herbal stress relief drinks, the liquid passes through your gastrointestinal system. The substance is then absorbed by the stomach villi and sent to the bloodstream for distribution to the other parts of your body. As soon as the liquid reaches the target body parts, theanine reacts with them. As a result, your physical stress and emotional stress are generally blunted. Aside from that, you will undergo a state of relaxation. Interestingly, if you take this substance with a small amount of caffeine, you can expect a more dramatic improvement in your stress relief.

Stress is probably one of the main reasons that people give up their dreams and ambitions, offline as well as online.
It simply takes us physically, out of our comfort zone. And when it does, the fight or flight response kicks in, with the vast majority of people opting the for the flight.
You’ve given us some sound options for herbal solutions, here, Edyta, and there is merit that needs to be explored. Especially when you consider that most people (I’m guilty!) choose coffee, and that certainly wreaks havoc on our ability to handle stress.

Hi David,
Thanks for your great comment.
You are right, stress can ruin life, health, relationships ecc.
I recommend natural ways to combat stress.
It is unquestionable that using herbal treatment is always a good idea to relieve stress since it is not only effective, but more importantly it is also safe. What’s the point of using a treatment if it will cause some adverse health effects to the user, even if it is effective to alleviate stress? None right. So, embracing a natural way/herbal way to relieve stress is the best decision.

I normally meditate rather than take something…well other than Lexipro or occasionally some B-12 vitamin.
Now, I do drink tea. However, I heard that drinking it without sugar and also hot has better effects, rather than ice tea or with sugar. Is that true?

Hello Edyta
Stress can have many negative effects on our lives. Today it seems the side effects of stress medication are greater that stress. Your explanation of theanine sound very interesting. Is theanine found in green teas?

Thanks it can definitely be confusing this day and age about what is the best solution for stress. I for one prefer not to do anything chemical if I don’t have to because my system is very delicate and tends to react negatively. I like herbal teas, any particular brand that you can recommend?

Hi Edyta,
I myself do not drink tea, but I have heard of herbal teas. I have seen people boil roots for the same reason. I have never try that either. I tend to sit still and focus on other things. TTYL
