A Herbal Remedy for Anxiety: Get Rid of Your Problem Once and For All
A herbal remedy for anxiety is much sought after today. People these days are beginning to realize that many allopathic drugs are actually extremely harmful for the body. They can cause a decrease in muscle tone, as well as a general decrease in stamina. They can also damage the health and effectiveness of the immune system. No one needs any of these harmful effects if they already happen to be suffering from anxiety.
Natural remedies rule. Choose a herbal remedy for anxiety over any prescription drug:
Thus more and more people are turning to natural remedies like herbal stress relief to solve their problems with anxiety. Remember that many allopathic drugs cause side effects or can even be addictive, while natural remedies almost never lead to addiction.
I’ll try to tell you here about those herbs that really do work. I like best to take herbs in the form of a tea, or added to a tea for best effect. Sometimes you can even mix two or more herbs together for an enhanced effect.
Herbal supplements
But if you find fresh herbs to be too expensive and do not have the option of growing them yourself, these days there are lots of supplements that can be just as effective, if not more so. Make sure though when you read the table of contents of a supplement you are thinking of buying, that it actually contains the herbs that you need.
Don’t fall for fad herbal remedies for anxiety that hawk some mysterious herb from the inner Amazon, the upper Himalayas or outer Siberia. Read up on the net about what herbs work best in the treatment of anxiety and make sure that any herbal supplement you buy contains at least some of those herbs.
Be an educated customer, and you will obtain the herbal stress remedies and supplements that you need to combat your anxiety problem.
Use the Internet
The information is all available on the internet, just like this article you’re reading right now, so make use of it to best effect.
Valerian, for example, is excellent in the relieving of anxiety. Not only has it been used successfully for many decades, but its success has also been proved by extensive medical studies. Expect a reduction of your levels of anxiety within less than thirty minutes if you use a herbal supplement that contains a sufficient amount of extract of valerian.
Green tea is another herbal remedy for anxiety, as is the Passion flower.
If you can get your hands on a herbal remedy for anxiety that contains all of these components, it is almost sure to work rapidly on your anxiety problem and will reduce levels of anxiety within a quarter of an hour of you taking the supplement.

Hmmm not that I think I need the anxiety relief, but I do know others who do… the 3 things that you mention I will share with some people I know — thanks for the info… One question that I do have is,,, do these do anything in terms of helping out the hormones.. or how exactly do they help with relieving anxiety?

Hi Edyta
I appreciate these suggestions as I have dealt with both anxiety and depression in my life. I have used many herbal and homeopathics with success in the past, and others that have been disappointing. I have never tried passion flower though. Luckily anxiety is not something I am dealing with now, but I will keep in in mind. I look forward to your future articles.

I’ll have to admit that using herbal remedies for stress relief or other issues really appeals to me much more than very strong prescription medication. When I was young my Mom used very strong medicines for her stress relief often with odd side effects.
The gentle qualities of herbal remedies seem to me to be excellent choices, at least to try first to see if they work before going for something stronger.

I drink chamomile tea for calming, but I really do not take anything else for anxiety. I am pretty good these days on that. I do think that herbal supplements for anxiety are much better than the prescribed drugs out there. However, my one brother in law, his anxiety is really bad and he is on meds for it.
